Watercolor Noir

This is my twelfth (and final) card in my Could Ya? Should Ya? Would Ya? Yea! series.

In this monthly series, I've attempted to try something out of the norm... i.e. a size of card I rarely use, a technique I've wanted to try (or try again), an unusual fold, a card for a bizarre holiday, etc. I also tried a new recipe on these days - not a card recipe, a kitchen recipe.

For this month's card, I actually tried something I'd never even heard of until the SCS VSN Our Covid World Challenges. One of the hostesses (Jen) challenged us to watercolor on black watercolor paper. Her Challenge theme can be found - HERE.

I didn't know there was such a thing as black watercolor paper, but fortunately I saw it on the list of items we would need in plenty of time to order some from Amazon. Now I have an entire pad of it. Not sure if/when I'll use more, but I'm glad I tried it out anyway.

She suggested that we might want to use metallic watercolors so that's what I did. i tried to create a sparkly background, though I'm not really sure I succeeded.

And don't forget... there's the added feature of my Could Ya? Should Ya? Would Ya? Yea! series - try a new recipe. What's for supper? The Best White Bean Soup. I hope we like it.

Last month I made One Pot French Onion Smothered Pork Chops, which we all three liked.

It's been a fun year-long series. Thank you for checking it out today and every month of 2020. I'll not being doing this series next year, so this is the end of the Could Ya? Should Ya? Would Ya? Yea! posts.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
