This is my 34th post for the Craftaholics R Us design team. How time flies, right? Janis, the "owner" of Craftaholics R Us plus a few other challenge blogs, is such a joy to work with. She has made my experience on the design team a true pleasure. I appreciate having had the experience!

THANK YOU, Janis!

I've decided it is now time for me to step down from the team. Therefore today's card will be my last one as a member of the Craftaholics R Us design team.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Happy Bee Day!

What do you think of when you think of the color yellow?

Sun/Sunshine
Bananas
Duckies
Lemons
School Buses
Corn
Sunflowers
Cheese
Butter
Smiley Faces/Emojis
Mustard
Legal Pads
Bumble Bees

Yes... all of those might come to mind because they are all yellow.

Why all this talk about things that are yellow? Because the new challenge theme at Craftaholics R Us is the color YELLOW.

I made a Bumble Bee card:

Stamp Set: Pink & Main Bee Happy

My embellishments are from Eyelet Outlet:

I hope you'll participate in the Yellow Challenge

Choose to Go Turquoise

I am not color blind. I'm not. But that being said, I've always struggled with what is truly turquoise (and what falls more toward teal). I fear I may have failed with this struggle... but humor me and say that the color on this card is turquoise, okay?

Why? Because there is a new challenge at Craftaholics R Us... and its theme is...

TURQUOISE

Gulp!

The stamp set I used is one of my newer ones. In fact, it's from a company that I wasn't even familiar with until very recently - The Ink Road. I love their stamps and purchased two sets almost as soon as I found the company. This darling set is the Inked Jenn set.

You'll be seeing what I've made with the other set I purchased from The Ink Road very soon on my blog. *hint *hint (Come back often!!!)

Welcome Baby

There's a new challenge at Craftaholics R Us every week. Design team members only create every other week (we're in two groups) but participants have a new theme to work with every week.

This week is my "on" week. The theme is...

Baby

May 2 - 8

I hope you'll participate!

This is actually kind of fun. I don't own many baby stamps, but I do have a few baby dies - from when I served on the Frantic Stamper Design Team. I chose of of them to use as the focal part of my card, plus some really cute onesies type of designer paper.

Ready Set Go

Normally Barb, Kelly and I post our Ready Set Go cards on the third Wednesday of the month. However, this month we're breaking from tradition and posting them today.

What is Ready Set Go? It is a little challenge that the three of us do each month - I call it our "Extreme Challenge" because the idea is that it is a little more advanced, challenging, detailed, outside-the-box than the normal challenge. Each month one of us chooses the  theme. This month it was Barb's turn.

This is Barb's March Theme...

There are currently 674 color challenges on SCS. Please pick two random numbers between 1-674. Go tot he thread that lists the chart for your picked numbers. Choose one of the two color combos. I am giving you a choice of the two so you do not get "stuck" with a bad one. If you do not have the  Stampin' UP! color that is in the color combination, you can us some other color that's close.

My first inclination was to just choose two random numbers... then I decided to use a Random Integer  Generator to do it for me.

CC457
Real Red, Blushing Bride, Gumball Green

CC661
Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Marina Mist

Since I don't own Gumball Green, I'm going to go with CC661. The colors on my card are Cucumber Crush, Marina Mist, and Real Red (I also used some White; I sure hope that was okay). And - *gasp! - I didn't use any designer paper, only cardstock.

To give the centers of my flowers a more vibrant look,
I paper-pieced them using Real Red CS.

Be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see what color combo they used and the cards they made with it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
