Stay @ Home Update #4

Each Sunday (at 5:00 AM) I'm sharing how the week's 10-minute stay@home organizational challenge went. If you don't have an idea what that means and you're curious, you can learn more in my original Stay @ Home Update blog post
 - found HERE.

Now here's the disclaimer: Some of these daily stay@home challenges are taking more than 10 minutes, but who's counting, right?

Here's what I've accomplished this week...

Day 1 - SUN, April 26
I still have several drawers (about 15 of them, I think) to add to my stamp inventory in Evernote so today I worked on one of those drawers - the Religious one. It is now inventoried.

Day 2 - MON, April 27
I have some very efficient storage for my large collections of brads - it works really well as long as I take the time to put the brads in the appropriate containers. Unfortunately I recently found a bin of unorganized brads and it was a HUGE mess (if you don't believe me, look at the picture- YIKES!). Those brads practically unusable since I didn't even really know what I had in there. Conquer and divide to get the job done. Today I sorted and put about half of those brads into my organizers. The others will be done another day.

Day 3 - TUES, April 28
This picture shows the rest of the brads that were in that bin of unorganized brads. There were quite a few of them, but they were a bit easier to organize since they were mostly still in packages.

I purged some of the larger brads since for the most part I don't like to use large brads.

Most of my brads (other than the largest ones and the plain colored ones) are in this kind of storage containers... labeled, of course, to make it easy to find what I have when I want to use a brad.

Day 4 - WED, April 29
I added the wood mounted stamps in my "World-Travel" drawer to my Evernote inventory today. Sadly, there are 5 stamps in this drawer that do not have manufacturing information on them. It saddens me that some companies failed to do that, meaning I can't give them credit when I use the stamps.

Day 5 - THUR, April 30
Two of my drawers of wood-mounted stamps didn't have many stamps in them, so I added both of them to my Evernote inventory today. The Gruffies drawer had four stamps in it.

The Inky Antics drawer had three stamps in it.
Day 6 - FRI, May 1
Today I uploaded yet another of the drawers of wood-mounted stamps to my Evernote inventory. I've stuck with this task because I'd really like to get it finished, but now I'm rethinking that plan. I received notice that I'm getting close to my monthly data entry (I have the free version) so before long I'll have to switch to some other tasks until I roll over to the next month in my allotted free usage.

Day 7 - SAT, May 2
I used to have the SU Ink Pad Carousel (in fact, I still have it, but have purged it from my room and plan to sell it). I kept my Re-inkers in the top of it. When I removed it from my Play Room, I moved the Re-inkers to a drawer, but that was just a temporary move until I could figure out what I wanted to use.

About a month ago I read a post where someone had used a rotating stand intended for Essential Oils as a holder for Re-Inkers and I immediately began my search for such an item.

I found this beauty on Amazon - Jackcube Essential Oil Rotating Display Stand. It arrived today and I assembled it immediately and organized my Re-inkers into it. Obviously I don't have enough Re-inkers to fill it... but maybe someday I will.

Okay, that's it for this week. Stay tuned to see what I accomplish in the coming week.

Your craft area will be so tidy by the end of all this Jeanette that you won't know where anything is! I will be like that too when I can get mine sorted... long story there as to why I cannot yet do it.
Stay safe

I see what my sister needs for her birthday! I wonder if she would use it a "few" for her oils or a "few" of her inks?
