From Trash to Treasure

If you've been doing the Falliday Fest challenges on SCS, you know that they are all live now. There will be no additional challenges posted. However, we still have time to create. The deadline for participating (in order to have a chance of winning a prize) is noon on October 31. So don't give up yet! You can do it.

Not that all of the challenges aren't a lot of fun - they are! - but I have two more cards to show here on my blog that were for my Falliday Fest Challenge theme...

From Trash to Treasure

For my first card the "trash" item was literally in the trash. I found this little packet in the laundry room trash can and pulled it out to see what my husband had thrown away that might be of use to me. LOL!

Well certainly I could find something to do with that nice oval patch. It's a bit fuzzy, kind of like velour, on one side and slick on the other. AND... it kind of reminded me of a body of water. So I went looking for any fishing, duck, water types of stamps that I might own.

Look who I found...

High Hopes Fishing Santa seemed appropriate.

The Inside:

Then... there was that package of M & M's just staring at me. It had been on my desk for days. I'd actually bought a package of them for little Halloween goodies that I prepared and sent to my daughter's students in the bush of Alaska... and this little guy didn't get in the package.

Surely - SURELY - there was some way to use it on a card. Right?

I have an M & M stamp -
so I just inked it in various colors and punched them out:
