Sunflower Thanks

Saturdays are the day that I post a card featuring stamps from the SumMore Fun store (Raisin Boat, SumMore Fun and/or Victorine Originals). If you were here last Saturday, you saw a card I made with the gorgeous Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp. I used the paper-piecing technique on that card. If you missed it and want to see it, you can do so by clicking - HERE.

Well, I got to thinking (dangerous, I know) and decided I am going to challenge myself to use that same stamp each week this month, using a different technique/style each of the four weeks. Now I must say, I haven't planned this out, so it may be a total fail... but we'll see.

This week I stamped the image off the edge of my paper, allowing only part of it to show.

Yes, in retrospect, I see my mistake. The rule of the uneven number. I should have stamped the flower 3 times, not 4. It would have looked better; less balanced. Drats!

The sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Sentiments stamp set, but I'm afraid it might be sold out at this point, I'm sorry to say - because I really like this sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamps: Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts and Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers

Papers: Recollections Black and 110# White and SU So Saffron CS and SU Gingham DP

Jeanette, I think your card looks beautiful! I have no idea what the rule of uneven numbers is. I have never heard of it. I think your card is perfect.

I think it is beautiful! I see 3 flowers with a brown center showing, and the flowers plus the sentiment is 5..... Love the DP you used- love the sentiment!

A delightful card Jeanette - and rules are only a guide, not a hard and fast 'you must do it this way'. As Shelly said, you have five elements!
Stay safe
