How Wet Is It?

Kelly, Barb, and I usually share our Ready, Set, Go creations on the third Wednesday of each month so today is the day.

Not sure what Ready, Set, Go is? Well, it's a lot of fun! And a bit of creativity. And an extreme challenge theme.

Ready, Set, Go is an idea that Kelly came up with over two years ago and she invited Barb and I to join her on the adventure. We take turns choosing the theme, but the idea is for it to be a bit more challenging than just the average theme.

It was Barb's turn to choose the theme this month. Here are her instructions...

You have been tasked to make a card or project using green someplace..   You also need to do some research and showcase something Irish, other than a shamrock.  It can be another symbol, a food, area of Ireland,  a celebration or tradition,  etc.  Anything to do with Ireland and the Irish people.

I enjoyed researching Ireland... and learned quite a few things of interest. The idea that I chose for my card is the fact that Ireland is has the wettest climate of any  European country. How wet is it? (This sounds like a TV show, doesn't it?) It's soooo wet that in 2007 Ireland saw 40 straight days of rain. Now that's pretty wet, if you ask me. Wet enough that a person would need to carry an umbrella, for sure.

Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see what they did with this Ready Set Go theme!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  5. Ill bet that the Irish had wrinkled hands and feet from all that rain. That is unless they had cute umbrellas like yours. Cute card

  6. Aw, this is adorable! Love the pastel twist to this! My mum - born in the UK - says she is SO tired of all the rain her whole life, lol. I should tell her Ireland has her beat! Very sweet .... anxiously awaiting what we are supposed to do in April :)
