Imagine the Possibilities • Wish Big

Are you ready for another treasure hunt creation? I love doing these! I hope you enjoy seeing them!!!

I actually realized a day or so ago that we are just a little over a month away from yard sale season here in northern Illinois. Woo Hoo!!! Soon I'll be on the hunt again! But for now, I'm still pulling things out of my stash from last year's search for treasures in other people's junk.

Look what I found one day:

A vintage children's book - cost me 10 cents
A quick look through the book gave me a vision for card-making. All those adorable illustrations; surely I could find at least one to use as designer paper.
Sure enough, I did.... LOOKIE!

I didn't need an image for this card; the page from the book provided that. So instead, I searched through my stamps for he perfect sentiment. I found it on a shelf that houses my Stampin' UP! sets. Imagine the Possibilities! I'm sure that's what the little boy was doing as he gazed in the toy store window.

He's carrying a sail boat in his arms, bu there was no sailboat in the toy store window. I knew how to fix that. I added sail boat brad to the toys on the shelf.

Here's a closer look at it:

The card needed a coordinating saying inside - Wish Big!

I really like how this card turned out and it was soooooo easy! I think I'll be looking for more children's books when I go to yard sales this year.

Sentiments: Stampin' UP! Word Play
Ink: Stampin' UP! Poppy Parade
Cardstock: Stampin' UP! Ballet Blue, Black, Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade
Treasure: a page from a children's book entitled I Walk to the Park
Embellisments: ribbon (vendor unknown) and a sailboat brad (Eyelet Outlet)
