Hang On

If you've ever been to northern Illinois, you know that our ground is pretty level. we are flat-landers. However, when it snows, like it did last night, there is a spot on the way to town that is popular with sledders. It's a man-made hill, but that doesn't make it any less fun. This morning on my way to the grocery store, I was not the least bit surprised to see several vehicles parked alongside the road at this special location. Oh the squeals of delight that could be heard as the children whizzed down the hill on their sleds.

As I roamed the aisles at the grocery store, picking up the groceries I would need for Christmas dinner, my mind kept going back to the enchantment of that hill. I knew I wanted to make a card that symbolized the fun of winter.... and I had the perfect image for it! Sunshine and Giggles' Hang On!

This image captures the thrill of sledding on a snowy winter day. And the good news is Sunshine and Giggles has a wonderful sale going on right now, so you can get this image at a huge discount. Their Christmas and Winter stamps are 50% off and their digital images (which is what I used on my card) are just $1 each. Here's the link: http://sunshineandgigglesstamps.blogspot.com/

you should see the snow in sandwich, illinois! and talk about flat!!!!!

what a stunning card and boy did it bring back memories. we used to have a hill called "suicide hill" because it ended in the middle of a very busy street. the parents hated when the kids took off to sled down that hill! wonder why? LOL.

a very happy holiday to you and yours.
