Growing in Unity 2024 - Day 1

I love Unity stamps! I own many of them... and most of my favorite Unity stamps are the ones that remind me of my daughter Brittney. Soooo... when I found out I was going to be a Growing in Unity gal this year, I decided to use what I refer to as Brittney-themed Unity stamps for each of my five days of posting.

If you're not familiar with the Growing in Unity concept, each fall Unity posts (on Facebook) that it's time to put your name in the hat, so to speak, and then they randomly choose 52 people who will post a card using Unity stamps each day (Monday-Friday) on their specific week of the year.

This. is. my. week.

Oh... and at the end of the week, I'll randomly choose 2 people who have commented on any of my five Growing in Unity blog posts. Those 2 will each receive a prize from Unity Stamp Co.

Brittney is our third child. I thought she and I would be so close. Mother/daughter doing things together. But she quickly became a Daddy's girl. I tell you, she had that man wrapped around her little finger in no time. The Unity First Love, First Hero stamp set seems like it was made just for Brittney and her love of her dad.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Don't forget to leave a comment in order to have your name put in the drawing for the Unity prize! And come back and comment each of the five days so you'll have a greater chance of winning.

Stamp Set: Unity First Love, First Hero stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers

Papers: Accent Opaque 120# White and SU Rose Red CS and DP from my scrap file

Dies: Honey Bee Sweet Stack Rectangles, Spellbinders Label Two, and Taylored Expressions Stitched Mini Slim

Ink (for blending): Taylored Expressions Salt Water Taffy

Embellishments: Enamel Hearts from an unknown vendor

Lovely card. I see all of the colic coloring from such talented artists. Someday I am going to get the courage to try, but for now, I will admire all the amazingness!

I love your card and the inspiration from your daughter's relationship with her dad. One of my favorite things is when card makers share where the ideas for their cards came from :)

Great card Jeanette. Those sweet little girls seem to wrap their dad's around their fingers and daddy's heart. This reminds me of my granddaughter.....her daddy is her hero. He even dressed up as the beast at Halloween and took Belle(beauty) trick or treating. It is so special to have those memories and the ties that bind you altogether.

Such a lovely card! It reminds me of my older daughter and her father. She has never been much of a mama's girl.

What a fabulous card, Jeanette - and yes, my daughter had her father wrapped around her little finger in no time too. That said, she and I are very close now :)
