Creative Crew 2024 - January Imposter

It's posting day for the Creative Crew. What exactly is the Creative Crew? We are a group of 7 card-making friends from various US locations who have a fun monthly creative adventure with a secretive twist.

One of the group's members hosts each month. As host, she chooses a theme and then sends each of the group members a theme-appropriate image and some designer paper. The host can also include a sentiment and/or special item if she chooses to do so. The group members all receive the same items, but there is to be no conversation about what was received or the cards we're making. Then, on the 15th of the month, we all reveal our cards.

It's always fun to see how each person uses the image/papers.

This month it was 's turn to host. She chose the theme...

Now this is where the Imposter part comes in. Barb mailed the goodies... and I waited patiently. They didn't come... and didn't come. Barb and I became less patient with the postal system. She re-sent the goodies... and we waited patiently. They didn't come... and didn't come. Are you sensing a theme here. Yep. USPS is NOT cooperating.

Then... EXCITEMENT. My informed delivery said the envelope would be delivered on Saturday (the 13th). I was giddy. UNTIL we checked our mail multiple times and we didn't receive a thing. UGH!

Barb did tell me what image she'd sent, just in case I own the stamp set. Alas, I do not. BUT I didn't want to be a slacker so I chose a stamp set from my stash that has a somewhat similar image in it and used it to make a card. When Barb's envelope arrives, I'll make a card with the genuine items.

Here's my Imposter card:

That dang postal service! Your card is really fun. I love that image and your colors are great! That snowman definitely captures the essence of Barb's challenge for this month.

Well your card is adorable even though it is a different image. Your snowman is just as cute and is still within Barb's challenge for us this month.

This is such a fun imposter card with a sweet image. Not sure who is holding your other snowman images!
