Catch Up Club - August 2023

In a text conversation amongst friends in the fall of 2022, we agreed that we were all falling behind in creating with items from virtual events, kits, even groups we are in. From that conversation the idea of the Catch Up Club took formation. We decided it was time to work on those cardmaking projects that were waiting for our attention. 

On the last day of each month we've committed to sharing card/cards we have made from something we need to "catch up" on.

For this month's Catch Up Club post, I am doing something a bit different. I missed the Hot Mess Challenge on the 12th of this month due to an acrobatic move I made in the middle of the night. Okay, it's not quite that exciting. I took a tumble in the middle of the night, landing on the floor and needed a few days of rest, therefore missing the Hot Mess Challenge. Soooo... today is the day to catch up.

The Hot Mess Challenge is Anything Goes, so long as we get a bit messy making the card. That stretches me quite a bit out of my comfort zone, as I don't like messes. But a challenge is supposed to be challenging so I do my best.

For this month's card I did some ink smooshing, using three colors of ink. I guess I didn't think that was messy enough because after it had dried, I randomly drug an ink pad across the piece to give it even more color.
