Ready, Set, Go! Celebration

This is the third Wednesday of June, which means it is the day that Kelly, Barb, and I reveal our Ready, Set, Go cards.

Not sure what Ready, Set, Go is? Well, it's a lot of fun! And a bit of creativity. And an extreme challenge theme.

Ready, Set, Go is an idea that Kelly came up with and she invited Barb and I to join her on the adventure. We take turns choosing the theme (this month it's my turn), but the idea is for it to be a bit more challenging than just the average theme.

In looking back at our previous themes I discovered that this month will be our 50th Ready Set Go challenge. In celebration of that momentous occasion I challenged us to celebrate each other and this fun challenge group. How? (I’m glad you asked.)

Because there are three of us, my challenge called for using three of something on our cards – three colors, three layers, three designer papers, three whatever. The cards were also to include something on  that starts with the first letter of each of our names – so something that starts with a K, something that starts with a B, and something that starts with a J (I’ll admit my name may be the most challenging).

Oh, and one more thing… because this is our Golden Anniversary, I wanted to see some GOLD on our cards.

Wow! That's a lot! Let's recap...

- Three of something

- Something that begins with a B, K, and J

- Some Gold

I have confidence that Kelly and Barb had no problem coming up with fabulous cards with my challenge.

I started with a fun image - Whipper Snapper Party Koala. It is a Koala (check off the "K" requirement) and there are two balloons, too (check off the "B" requirement).

I used these three pieces of DP (check off the "3 of something" requirement)...

They don't show up well in the photo, but the dots on the koala's party hat are Jewels (check off the "J" requirement).

One thing left - some gold. I added a gold heart brad...

Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see what they did with this Ready Set Go theme!
