Flea Market Flip - #5

I've committed to doing a quarterly series (personal challenge) this year. For this quarter (April - June) the series is what I'm calling Flea Market Flip. The idea is to find an item at a yard sale, thrift store, even out of the trash and use it on a card.... but the item needs to be something that was not created for the purpose of cardmaking or paper-crafting.

Today's item is a
set of eye shadow:

Cost $1.00
Found at local thrift store

I loved the subtle shine to the colors and decided to use them for coloring around the stamped image of the dog on my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamp: Nellie Snellen Puppy stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink

Repurposed Item: L.A. Colors Eye Shadow

Papers: Recollections Black and 110# White CS and all other papers from my scrap file

Embellishments: Brads from an unknown vendor

Gorgeous card! Love that dog stamp with the layers. And how fun to use the eye shadow for coloring the background. Great idea!

Your creativity astounds me. I guess I should look through some of my make up that just sits there. I love the soft background that your eye shadow created. Nicely done.
