Fond Memories

The Unidentified Image card swap group is in its 42nd round. That's hard to believe. I've been part of the group from its beginning, but this will be my last round. I've decide the time has come for me to no longer participate in the swap - which is kind of sad because they are a fabulous group of women led by my good friend Barb!

This round's hostess is Terry S and she chose this gorgeous image for us to use. I really REALLY like it! It was such fun to color, which is a plus, but the thing I liked most about it is the memories it brought to my mind. When my family moved to a small hobby farm when I was a High School Sophomore, the pond had these funny pod things growing in it. We had no idea what they were. The locals told us they were called "Yonkiepens". Now I really doubt that is there real name, but somewhere in central Missouri, those brown pods in my card are called Yonkiepens.

Thanks for bringing that to my mind by your image selection, Terry!

I hope Terry and the other Unidentified Image swappers like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
