A Mighty Anchor in the Storm

It is the 7th of the month which means it's the day the Crafters of Faith group on SCS shares the cards/projects they've made with this month's theme.

This month Kelly is not only the leader of the CoF group, she is also the hostess, which means she chose the Scripture verse and theme for our inspiration.

Kelly's theme is so sweet/touching (I definitely said "Awwww" and got a wee bit teary), so I will share it in her words.

Challenge: A few years ago, my son gifted to me a small rock with a stained glass cross on the front. It was some little token he purchased for me at his christian school during one of their fundraisers ~ saying he thought of me because it had a beautiful cross and the word FAITH on the front. I melted! I keep this rock in my kitchen window and it has become a cornerstone of joy for me as I see it daily. It's a reminder to always remember what matters the most ~ the love of this child, the baton of faith passed on, and that this rock mantra gets me through the tough times, the happy moments and all the in-between!
My challenge for you this month is my son's gifted rock! Use a rock somewhere on your card. It can be a single stone, river rocks, mountains - however the scriptures speaks to you! And if none of those work, maybe you want to use rock dsp or river rock ribbon, etc.
Scripture: “There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. ~1 Samuel 2:2

I chose to use the Our Daily Bread Anchor the Soul stamp set - because, yes, there are rocks in the image, but mostly because like Kelly's chosen verse says - God is our rock - and there are few times that I notice that more than in the storms of my life.

I hope Kelly and the other Crafters of Faith will like my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Beautiful card. I love the image you used. It reminds me of times at the Jersey Shore when I was growing up. Such a peaceful place to be and enjoy God's creations.
