April 9 -15

There is still plenty of time to participate in this week's Sew Many Challenges. The theme is an easy one, simply use stitching on your creation - faux stitching, hand stitching, or with a machine.

The Sponsor for this week's Sew Many Challenge is Stitchy Stamps.

Stitch, the owner of Stitchy Stamps is offering a generous prize package of three free digi stamps of the winner's choice from the Stitchy Bears Store.
WOW! That is awesome!!!

I had the honor of choosing one stamp from the Stitchy Bear Store to create a card for today's blog post (Thank you, Stitch!!!) and I have to tell you, I had a terrible time choosing just one. There are so many cute images to choose from.

In the end, I actually let my dear husband make the final choice between my three favorites. He chose...

My first job ever was as a soda jerk at Sonic (and an occasional car hop) so this image seems so appropriate for me. Creating with it actually brought back a lot of fond memories, as well as cravings for Cherry Limeades.

I wanted to create a scene (in a good way) with my card, so I took out some punches and built a car for the car hop's delivery location. For the background, I used some sky and grass designer papers. I even used my Martha Stewart fringe scissors to give the grass some dimension.

I put lacquer on the car hop's glasses and the beverage and I added clear dimensional stickers to the headlights of the car.

What do you think? Do you want to meet me at Sonic and have a Cherry Limemade? It sounds fun to me!
