Hot Mess - Take 39

It's the 12th of October, time to get messy. (insert deer-in-the-headlight look) As you likely recall from previous 12ths, I am not one who likes messes. Not one bit. BUT a challenge is only a challenge if it stretches you, and I'm up for the Hot Mess Success Challenge.

Barb, Carol, Darlene, Kelly, and I create cards for the Hot Mess Success challenge each month and share them on the 12th.

It's Anything Goes - as long as there is something messy involved.

This month I did some ink blending, which always seems to result in messy fingers for me- I'm not sure why. However, that's not the mess I was going for with this card.

Here is what was most messy...

I've tried splatters several times in the past with minimal success... then I saw that someone used a fan brush to achieve the best splatters so I gave it a try.

game. changer.

For those of you who don't know, I have neurological damage in my hands so never had enough oomph to flick splatters off of a brush... but with this brush I had no problem whatsoever. I am so excited.

Be sure to check out the other Hot Mess gals blogs, too, to see their cards (you'll be WOW'd!)...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Jeanette I love this card. The sentiment is amazing and your splatters are great. I will have to try using a brush like that to make some splatters. They look perfrect.
