Ink Pad Experiment #5

You might recall that I mentioned I was wanting to invest in some colored ink pads, but am not sure what brand I want so I'm testing some to see which brand best meets my needs. If you missed that blog post, you can check it out - HERE

I'm wanting dye inks that blend smoothly with blender brushes but are also suitable for stamping.

For today's card I used My Favorite Things Ink Pads. I own three colors of them - Jellybean Green, Pineapple, and Tropical Teal. After making my card, I learned that MFT is not making/selling full-size ink pads at this time. They do have cubes, but I'm not interested in cube-size pads, so MFT has been eliminated from my list of potential companies from which to get my ink pads.

First I blended the colors onto paper, but decided it was a bit too boring so then I used the same torn paper technique that I used with my first card is this experimental series, this time creating a sky and hillside.

The sun was made by blending the pineapple ink onto a piece of white cardstock and then die-cutting the pieces onto the sky.

I still have a few brands to try before I decide which I like best.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Love the end result of this trial Jeanette - that is one cute card with lots of visual texture with the blending over the torn paper.
