VSN - Family Ties

I had the honor of hosting one of the VSN challenges on SCS last night. It was soooo much fun.

This VSN's theme is Let the TV Be Your Guide, with each of the challenges inspired by a TV show. There was a VSN Mini last month with 3 challenges. Last night there were 5 challenges, including mine. Today there are 10 challenges. Check it out and play along. It's a lot of fun.

My challenge was inspired by Family Ties, which aired from 1982-1989. Participants are to make a card that in some way represents family. Additionally they are to add ribbon/cord to their cards that have been tied.

We lost my Mom last month. She and my Dad had been married 69 years. This stamp set makes me think of them.

There is a one hour time limit for making VSN cards. This one took me 35 minutes.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamp Set: Unity Promise Always stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers

Papers: Neenah 110# Solar White and SU Sahara Sand CS and DP from my scrap file

Embellishment: Stampin' UP! Ribbon

Awe, this is such a lovely image and depicts a couple that not only supports each other, but loves unconditionally. Great job! I love the soft gray and yellow tones that you chose. My goodness, I had no idea VSN was going on right now. I wish I had the time to play. Thanks for sharing!

This card just puts a smile on my face--and a bit of a tear for the loss of your mom

My folks celebrated their 73rd anniversary on January 1. So thrilled to be able to take them out for a special celebration lunch together. Beautiful, beautiful card honoring your parents years together. Continued prayers for your dad and all your family.
