Falliday Fest Floating Strips

One of my favorite events on Splitcoaststampers is Falliday Fest. There are several challenges during the event - tutorials, themes, and so much more. It isn't too fast-paced, but at the same time it does offer some new things to try as well as some well-loved things we've done before. I look forward to it each year.

This year I was especially excited because I was hosting one of the challenges - a tutorial I'd never done before but thought it looked easy enough and lots of fun.

I waited expectantly for Falliday Fest to begin.

Then.

Such a little word, but it packs a wallop. Then my mom passed away and a quick trip out-of-state was necessary. I missed ALL of Falliday Fest, including my own challenge, but fortunately I'd already created a card for it and had my post ready to go live... so live it went. You can check out all of the details of my Floating Strips challenge, as well as a link to the tutorial, by going - HERE.

A bit of acetate, some strips of paper, etc... and in less than 45 minutes, I had made my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

I didn't get to do your challenge, but I love the look. When "crazy time" leaves around here, I will be giving this technique a try, Jeanette!!

I've been reading and catching up on blogs. I am so sorry to read that your mom passed away. You are so right - "then" packs a wallop. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like it's a good thing you are organized and ready ahead of time! Hugs to you.
