Blue Knight - Bridge and Stream

Fridays are special days - who doesn't love TGIF, right? But here on my blog Fridays are also special because they are the day I get to post as a design team member for Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I used the new Bridge and Stream stamp set today.

You can check out the stamp set in the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps store - HERE.

I have to admit, when I first saw this stamp set online, I wondered what that clump up above the trees was supposed to be. Was it birds? I felt so foolish when the stamp set arrived. DUH! That is a second stamp - there are two stamps in this set. The "clump" is actually leaves, so you can add leaves too your trees, in green tones or in gorgeous autumn colors. Isn't that clever?

Card #1

For this card, I colored the image in spring/summer colors and added lots of green leaves to my trees. That is so easy to do and looks fabulous!

Card #2

I colored this card in winter tones - the grass has died and the trees are bare. I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil to add clouds to the sky, using Lawn Fawn Forget-Me-Not Ink. You can find this wonderful stencil in the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps store - HERE.

I think it's amazing to see how one stamp looks so different depending on how it's used.

Wonderful cards- love both of them- cool idea to make the winter one with no green grass. Love the sky on the 2nd one too!
