A Two-Thirds Challenge

This is the third Wednesday of October, which means it is the day that Barb, Kelly, and I reveal our Ready, Set, Go cards.

Not sure what Ready, Set, Go is? Well, it's a lot of fun! And a bit of creativity. And an extreme challenge theme.

Ready, Set, Go is an idea that Kelly came up with and she invited Barb and I to join her on the adventure. We take turns choosing the theme (this month it's my turn), but the idea is for it to be a bit more challenging than just the average theme.

This is my theme...

October is the month that two members of our trio celebrate birthdays. It seems fitting that we in some way incorporate that into our RSG theme… but it’s NOT a birthday theme. Instead, I’m challenging us to think of the card in thirds – and two-thirds of it needs to be the focal area. (There are lots of ways to process that idea, so let your imagination flow!)

BUT… there’s more! We don’t want to leave the other part of our trio out, and since her birthday is 5 months away, I also want you to add FIVE of something on your card (think embellishments, layers, or whatever).

Ready, Set, Go!

Here's my card:

I used five rhinestones on my card and you can see how I designed the card on just the left two-thirds; leaving the right side alone.

I actually cut the colored image into three pieces to make the card and after looking at the third that I was discarding, I decided to add it to the inside of my card. You can see a little bit of it in this picture...

Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see what they did with this Ready Set Go theme!

I sure hope they like my card and had fun with my challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

This is such a clever idea! I love how you added the third part to the inside of the card. Your coloring is beautiful and your ribbon blends in perfectly. Thanks for sharing. I may have to use this design.

What a great use of the image Jeanette, and I love that you were brave enough to leave one third off, and then add it to the inside
Stay safe
