Enjoy the Pier

I really stepped out of my comfort zone for today's card - and had fun doing it, too. I'm usually a cutesy type of card maker AND I absolutely love to color. I very rarely make a scene, well, at least not on my cards {insert giggles} but the Raisin Boat Pier Happiness stamp set just calls for a scene - a very tranquil scene.

I stamped the Tree, Geese and Pier with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added some Tufts of Grass with Memento Cottage Ivy Ink and some Dirt/Sand with Memento Desert Sand Ink. I colored the Pier with a Copic Marker and then I used my blending brushes to add color to the entire scene.

I love the "sand" stamp that is in the stamp set; it adds a great textured look!

The "Enjoy" is from the Raisin Boat No Loss for Words stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

This card is so nice. Indeed it is serene. You really did an amazing job on your scene, especially since you sound so timid.

I now have a good collection of Lavinia stamps that are all silhouettes. So now I've been watching videos in how to create their gorgeous backgrounds with these stamps. I'm not very confident in creating scenes, but it will get easier for both of us, if we just practice.

I would love to see this set used again--you did such a great job with this scene.
