It Happened One Snowy Day

It is the 15th of January so it's time for a friendly Duel.... the Dueling Darlings are hosted by LJ (Divas) and Darlene (Dazzlers). They come up with something new and unique for this month's duel. I was quite impressed. Way to go, LJ and Darlene!

We've actually been dueling for so long now that it's getting more challenging to come up with themes than it was in the early days. ;)

Here's the instructions Darlene included in the Dazzler's kits... "LJ and I took a different path for January's Duel, I hope that you are feeling creative. It's the start of  whole new year, and we thought you could make c calendar page for the front of your card." Isn't that fun!?!?!

Now,  wish I could say I like my card (I don't) but I do like the theme and the gorgeous items Darlene sent, too! Thank you, Darlene!

As a little extra something Darlene asked us to share some special January "days" in our posts. The only one in our family is a very important one - our daughter was born on January 9th (in the midst of a snow storm!).

Be sure to head over to the other Dueling Darling blogs (Divas and Dazzlers can both be found in my left side bar) and see what they made, too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

The dry embossing looks so good on that paper! Great layout and idea on the calendar.

Oh my goodness Jeanette. You were so wrong when you said you were disappointed in your card. It is wonderful. The inside is just as elegant as the outside. I am so looking forward to seeing you again...and soon....hugs....

I have no clue why you don't like this Jeanette!! It's so well done. I especially like the twine on top of the ribbon down the side and the silver snowflake embossing. I'm impressed that you could create something so pretty in so little time!
