Peek at My Week

This will be a short Peek at My Week post, since I've been gone half of this week. I went out-of-state to visit my parents and my sister (they live one block from each other). It was so good to see them... and one of the perks was I got to admire my sister's growing collection of card-making supplies. She started making cards a little less than a year ago - and does a beautiful job of it.

Do you remember when you started? Were you like me??? My early attempts were not very good. But it was such fun that I persevered and am thankful I have improved since those first cards. LOL! Otherwise I wouldn't have this blog because I sure wouldn't show those cards to anyone.

My parents are doing fairly well. They are in their mid-80's and still maintain their own home. They  have a small garden, too...

It's mostly Mama's garden (Daddy does the tilling, but she does the rest of the work) and she loves tending it...

While traveling, I also got to do three of my favorite things. I went to Chipotle, and to Starbucks........ and I did a wee bit of shopping, too. I went to Dollar Tree and found the little divided containers I'd heard about in the Facebook Stamping Enablers group (if you haven't joined it yet, I'd highly recommend it). They hold the little Tim Holtz distressed inks perfectly. (ummmmm... I bought a few of these containers)...

I also managed to make 7 cards this week - before I left for my trip.

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Another thumbs up from me! Sounds like a great week. God bless your parents...80 years old and still going strong...even working a garden!

I do remember when I started in both scrap booking and card making. Oh, Lordy, thank goodness I've improved since then. I really don't scrapbook at all any more..cards have taken over my crafty time...and my craft room!

I haven't been to Chipotle yet. A new one was just built at the same time they had all their troubles. I'm still wanting to go, but I can't find anyone who wants to eat Mexican food with me...how can you NOT like Mexican food?
