Peek at My Week

Last weekend I was at our annual women's event... and it was INCREDIBLE! I saw lots of friends from around the state. I got to hang out with some of my most favorite missionaries! I heard great speakers. I worked in the exhibit hall. I. had. fun!

I got  home late Saturday night... and did very little on Sunday. (It's a day of rest, after all). Since then I have worked steadily at the sorting/purging/organizing in my Working Studio. (I would like to be out in the garage working on the stuff I still haven't gone through since our move, but it's a bit too chilly for that.)

I managed to sort through...

... my flower stash (Primas, felt, crocheted, etc.) - I'm not crazy about the way I have them stored, so I'll keep looking for a better idea, but for now they are contained and somewhat organized.

... my stencils (those old-style dry embossing things). I'm not even sure why I'm keeping them, since I haven't used them in forever. Maybe I'll re-think that and put them in the "To Sale" stuff.

... my glitter. Now answer me this - Why in the world did I have so much glitter? I never EVER use it, since I can't seem to get it to stick to suit me. Yep, I put well over half of it in the "To Sale" stuff.

... my embossing powder. Again, I had way too much of it. Over half of it is also in the "To Sale" stuff.

... my Stampin' UP! cardstock. I have a lateral file that I've stored the SU cardstock in for years. I used to have it very organized... neutrals and In-Colors in the top drawer and the 4 color families in the bottom drawer. Then SU changed their colors........... EEK! and I never got around to re-organizing my file. This week I did. And discovered that I have very little of the current colors on hand. My top drawer now has retired colors in it (and it is pretty full). The bottom drawer is current colors and it's less than half full. Hmmmmmmmmmm... not good. Not good at all. Especially since SU is raising the price of cardstock when their new catalog comes out.

... some of my ribbon. Okay, I have a REAL addiction to ribbon. I must not buy any more. 'nuf said.

In addition to all this sorting/purging/organizing, I also worked on uploading stamps to my Evernote Inventory file. I've now met my month's allotment of space, so I won't be able to add any more until after the 13th of May (when my new month begins).

AND - I managed to make 9 cards this week. This is one of them...

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Wow, that's quite a week Jeanette! Well done sorting all your stash! Love the fabulous card you've created. Nine in a week! Now that's pretty special. I was chuffed to manage three the other day! LOL. Glad you've had such a fabulous week hunny. Hugs, Wends x

Busy, busy, busy Jeanette - what a lot of stash you must have ;-).
Love your card - it's fabulous and made me happy. 9 cards - now that's some stash, considering how busy you have been organising.
Blessings
Maxine

How cute is this!! I love it, Jeanette!

I have a buy band on ribbon, as well, but am saving my pennies for the new SU in colors.

You get a thumbs up from me. I've been organizing, too, without much success. I just saw a few videos by Jennifer McGuire showing clever ways to use glitter...not fond that it ends up all over the place, but she has a few ideas to help with that.
