Peek at My Week

Fridays come around every seven days, don't they? While most of you are looking forward to a weekend, I'm in some of my busiest days  of this week. I am out of town for three back-to-back meetings (today/Friday, Saturday and Monday). Let the fun begin.

What can I say about this week?

It. has. been. busy.

I had meetings - Tuesday and Wednesday.

I made at least one card - every day up until today.

I swapped and mailed out cards to a group I'm in on SCS.

I unpacked 5 bins.
(They hadn't been touched since we moved in November.)

I studied for conferences I'm leading.

I did research for a meeting responsibility.

I cooked, cleaned, and washed dishes.
(One of the things I made was a GREAT BIG - delicious - kettle of soup. YUM!)

I shopped (locally) and plan to shop in the city some this weekend.

AND.......... I celebrated my wedding anniversary with my DH taking Brock and me out to dinner.

One of the big highlights of my week happened when I was talking to my daughter. (She lives in the bush of Alaska and has a fairly new puppy named Barrow.) I heard my grandpuppy bark! His little bark is just so sweet.

That's Brittney and Barrow...
Aren't they cute?!?!?!

Life is good!

It also can be heartbreaking - as we've said goodbye to a 96-year-old church member this week, and also to a friend's brother. And my mother-in-law is nearing the end of her long battle with Alzheimer's.

I guess for that reason I am a little melancholy as I type this post. I know that you understand, because you, too, have experienced heartache in your life at some time.

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Come back tomorrow - Instead of just talking (like today's post), I'll have a card to show you.

I love this photo of your daughter and her pup! We are dog people in my family!

Life is tough. Sending prayers for you and those you love who are experiencing loss.

Congratulations on your busy week Jeanette - and for all the research you do to enable meetings to run smoothly and to be prepared for them.
{{{{{hugs}}}}} for the losses you have experienced and a big well done on another Anniversary - they are precious.
Blessings
