If you come to my blog often, you KNOW that I love to use recycled items in my cardmaking. Therefore I was delighted when I found out what this week's ABC Challenges has for its theme.

April 22 - 28

Theme: Earth Day
Create a card using something recycled.

Please tell us in your blog post what item you recycled so we can ooh and ahh over your creativity!

Here's my card:

Can you tell what I recycled?

I used a part of a page from a children's book for my background paper.

It was such fun! I added some bling flowers to the grassy scene and of course I stamped another boat to float in the stream. Other than that, it was a pretty simple card. But a fun one!

Here's the inside of my card:

I used a small piece from another page of the book and stamped the sentiment on it.

I'm so glad you stopped by my blog today! Please join us in the Recycled/Earth Day Challenge at ABC Challenges this week. I'll be look for your card.

Image/Sentiment: Stampin' UP! Moving Forward
Ink: Memento Lady Bug
Cardstock: Recollections Black and Stampin' UP! Bashful Blue
Designer Paper: from the Walt Disney Children's Book Lady and the Tramp The Lost Tag (a Little Golden book)
Embellishments: Rhinestones (vendor unknown)

Oh EEK I don't know if I could use something out a book unless it was already pulled apart. I love how you did this though - its really awesome. Hugs D
