I Love Soup

Wonderful, delicious, tasty, YUMMY soup! It is one of my favorite things to cook. Almost every week in the cooler months, at some point my kitchen will boast of a big kettle (or crockpot) of soup, with awesome smells filling the entire house.

Did I mention, I love soup! (I think it's the perfect food!)

My friend Gael (mamadwawa on SCS) is hosting a Soup Recipe Card Swap... I lurked for a while, hoping to glimpse a tasty recipe or get a whiff of wonderful aroma. I finally took out my kettle (well, my crafting supplies anyway) and whipped up a batch......

of these recipe cards:

This is an awesome recipe! I love brocolli, but my husband doesn't like milk-based soups much, so I rarely make brocolli cheese soup (which is one of my favorites). This recipe allows me to enjoy soup with brocolli in it........ though the veggies put in it truly are the cook's choice, so if you don't like brocolli (my dad doesn't), then you don't have to put brocolli in it. ;)

I love the image - it's Crafty Secrets Little Chef. To add the word "SOUP", I first typed SOUP repeatedly in a Word document and printed it out on cardstock. I then inked the stamp (which is clear so it's easy to place it exactly where you want it) and stamped the image with the word SOUP on the placard the little chef is holding. Easy!

Now, if the weather would just cool down, so I could whip up a batch of soup instead of soup recipe cards. ;)
