Autumn Owl
Is anyone ready for a Duel? The Dueling Darlings are at it today. Tracie and Barb are this month's hostesses and they chose a Fall Owl Theme for the duel.
Tracie sent a fabulous kit to the Dazzlers:
Image - Two Paper Divas "Who's There" (I colored it with Copic markers)
Designer Paper - Stampin' UP! "Color Me Autumn"
Embellishments: Recollections (Brads, Doily, Leaves, Feathers, and Twine)
THANK YOU, Tracie!
Please be sure to pop over to the Divas and the Dazzlers blogs to see what they've made, too. You'll find the links in my left side bar.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Other than the items in Tracie's kit, the only thing I used was a piece of Kraft cardstock for the card base.

Act Normal? Never!
It's the 9th - that means it's time for the Three Musketeers to show their stuff.
I was the hostess this month and I actually purchased a stamp set just for the occasion. When it arrived (I ordered it online) I was shocked at how large it was and almost decided not to send/use it... but then I realized that the Musketeers were up to a challenge. So I inked it up and set it off along with this instruction: Feel free to think outside the box with this image - use only a portion of it, don't use it at all and only use the sentiment, or even embrace its largeness.
I embraced its largeness...
I think that saying could be the Musketeer motto -
Life's too short to act normal!
(I wonder if Barb and Kelly agree with me?)
By the way, be sure to head over to Barb's blog and Kelly's blog to see their cards, too.

Creativity is a Science
PDE Linky Party has a new challenge - CARDS! That's easy so I'm sure you will all be able to play along. You have all week - it ends on Thursday.
For my card I used the Stamping Bella "Tiny Townie Sage Loves Science" stamp set...
One of the reasons I love this stamp set is because of the quote that is included (you probably notice I have this Albert Einstein quote as the tagline on my blog posts).

Mid-Week Peek at My Week
I don't have much to tell you about my week today. Too many travels and too many tomatoes - that's my story "and I'm sticking to it."
We have been on the road/traveling half the week. And then there were all those tomatoes I mention... boxes and boxes of them. DH's hobby is in full production, it would seem. I made 38 quarts of tomato juice (and am in the kitchen all day today making more.
Here's the process...
1. Cup up tomatoes and cook them in a HUGE kettle.
2. Once cooked to "mushy" state, run them through a colander in order to make juice (and dispose of peelings and seeds).
3. Heat up the juice and then pour into sterilized jars and seal.
4. Admire the beautiful red juice!
Oh, and then there's that thing of cleaning up all the mess.
SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
