Curling Up with a Good Book

Today's card is the one I made for this month's Gerda Steiner Designs Progressive Challenge. I love participating each month... and then after the first of the following month, I get really excited to see what image will show up in my inbox for that month. This month's image is called Cat in Bookshelf. If you didn't participate last month and therefore didn't get it for free, don't despair. You can purchase it HERE... and then, when you play along this month, you too will receive next month's image for free.

Love You More

Oh my goodness!

oh. my. goodness.

I've been hearing all the rave and thought I needed to check this out for myself.

Stampers on FB keep raving about Catherine Pooler inks. They say the coverage is amazing. That the colors are rich and beautiful. That... that... that...

So... I watched a few YouTube videos and then placed an order. I started small. I ordered the Midnight one, since it is a Copic-friendly and I also ordered one color - Rockin' Red (which I've not yet used, but to my defense, the order just arrived a couple of days ago). Today's card is the first time I used the Midnight. WOW! Look at how beautifully the image is stamped! First time.

This stamp is an older wood-mounted stamp in my collection. I've found that in the past year or so I rarely use my wood mounted stamps, instead opting for the cling-mounted and clear ones so I can use my stamping platforms and have the opportunity to re-ink a second (or third) time, if needed, for complete coverage. I thought using a wood-mounted stamp with this ink would be the ultimate test.

Oh my goodness! oh. my. goodness. It passed the test with flying colors!

The only down side to the Catherine Pooler Midnight ink is it does slightly stain the stamp... but I knew that before I used it. Catherine Pooler openly says that. That's okay, though... since it stamps so beautifully.

Yep, now I'm one of those people - raving about Catherine Pooler ink (and I've only used it once).

Today Will Be Awesome

I had happy mail this week - surprise happy mail. I wasn't expecting to receive anything from the owner of the Craftaholics R Us Challenge who is my long-distance (long, long distance) online friend Janis. She mailed me a precious and beautiful card and tucked inside were three cute little two-sided cards that could be used for journaling, scrapbooking, or in my case, card-making. THANK YOU Janis!

The little cards all had rounded corners and they were a delightfully fun PINK! So I used them all three on the same card... and I rounded the corners on my card to match the rounded corners on the three cards Janis sent.

I didn't stamp anything on my card, instead I used a gorgeous die cut on it for a pop of color.

I served on the Frantic Stamper design team in 2017. It was an amazing experience that stretched me in ways I'd not been stretched before. Each month an assortment of precision dies (as well as a stamp set) would arrive at my house... and I cut, glued, and created. Sooooo... I have a wonderful assortment of Frantic Stamper dies. The Aloha Hibiscus flower on this card is one of the Frantic Stamper precision dies I received during my tenure on their design team.

Friends Make Life More Fun

FYI - I have two blog posts today. This one and the one that went live on my blog at midnight. It features Eyelet Outlet products and is a fun CACTUS kind of card. Please check it out, too, either by scrolling on to the next blog post or by clicking HERE.

This is the 9th... which means it is a 3 Musketeers day! Kelly, Barb, and I have been doing these posts monthly for more than three years.  I was the host this month (which means I picked out the image we used).

I had so much fun deciding what we three would create with. I finally decided to use a Unity stamp set called "3 Snowbuddies" because snow always makes me think of Kelly and the three of us got to hang out (with a bunch of other friends, too) at Barb's house in January... so the sentiment seemed perfect.

All the FUN we have is greater together!

Be sure to head over to Barb's blog and Kelly's blog, too. I always love seeing what they've created.

We three are

Stick With Me

Succulents seem to be all the rage right now. They seem to have personality. So I decided to make a card featuring succulents.

The idea for this card actually started in a unique place - it all started with a roll of Cactus Washi Tape. Yep... Washi Tape!

The roll of Washi Tape came from the Eyelet Outlet online store... HERE. It's a super wide and gorgeous Washi Tape. And WOW! Look at the price... so reasonable.

So, the thing is, when you have Washi Tape that is that gorgeous, you just have to use it, right? (There's no need to hoard it because there is a lot of tape on that roll.)

Not only did I use the Cactus Washi Tape, I also bordered it with skinny green Washi Tape from Eyelet Outlet... and then I added a strip of Black Pearls on the two edges to finish off the look.

I added a stamped Cactus and two adorable Butterfly Brads from Eyelet Outlet to finish off my card design.

Here's the inside of my card:

Eat More Hole Foods

The Hole Foods stamp set from The Project Bin not only has gorgeous donuts to color/ink and create with, it also has some really fun sentiments. I decided to use two of the sentiments on my donut card today - one on the front and the other one inside.

And look at that... I even have donut designer paper to use on my card. How fun, right?

I hope you'll head over to The Project Bin's online store and check out all of the stamp sets.

An Adorable Nurse and Her Teddy Bear

I am so excited that Craftaholics R Us is having a Get Well Challenge this week because it was the perfect excuse for me to ink up my favorite nurse stamp. In fact, it may be the only nurse stamp I own.

Isn't she a cutie with her teddy bear?

I also used my My Favorite Things Band Aid die set for the very first time making this card.

I hope you'll dig out your get well types of supplies
and play along in the challenge!
