Card Kit Cuties 2016 - #4

I used another card kit to make cards for today's blog post. This kit came from Terry A. and it was full of great things. I absolutely love the Penny Black images and the Hero Arts sentiments that were in the kit. The papers were colorful and fun, the embellishments were plentiful (so many I couldn't even begin to use them all). THANK YOU, Terry!

Card #1

Card #2

The only thing other than kit items that I used was some cardstock - Recollections Black and Stampin' UP! Pumpkin Pie and a piece of blue from my scrap file.

Card Kit Cuties 2016 - #3

After a few weeks of not even looking at the kits I've received, I finally found time to create with one of the kits (in fact, with two, but you can't see the  other one until you come back to my blog tomorrow.)

The kit I used to make the two cards in this blog post came from Tracie. It was just FULL of all kinds of lovely items - images, sentiments, designer papers galore, fun embellishments, cardstock for card bases, and more. She even sent me a handmade card with a sweet note inside and a special gift too. THANKS Tracie!

Card #1

The inside is decorated, too, but here's just a peek:

Card #2

Isn't that butterfly amazing!?!?! I am assuming Tracie made it - crochet, if I'm not mistaken.

Glistening Snowman

I know. I know. It's barely autumn... but who can resist an adorable snowman?

I actually made this card for a mystery image group I'm in on SCS. Dea sent the adorable image and I had fun putting together the card.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but the snowman was stamped on white cardstock. I masked the snowman and then sponged both blue and lavender ink all around him. (Only the blue shows up though. UGH!)

I love the DP - all one piece, but hues of blue and lavender. So on the inside I used two pieces...

Monochromatic Blue

I do not do monochromatic! Let me repeat that... I do NOT do monochromatic! at least, not unless I have to.

I had to...............................................

Challenge #272
October 2 - 15

Theme: Monochromatic
Sponsor: StitchyBearDigiOutlet

Please participate!

Not only did StitchyBear provide a prize for a lucky participant (YAY! A $10 gift certificate to their store) - they also provided images for the design team to use. THANK YOU, StitchyBear!

Did I mention I don't do monochromatic???!?!?!

It's kind of difficult to tell form the photo, but the color is BLUE with some cream too. (My understanding of monochromatic is you can also use a neutral color - I sure hope that's right, because I did.)

I did a quick search of my stamp inventory on Evernote (I love my inventory - makes searching by theme so easy!) and settled on an old Stamping Bella stamp that I've had for a very VERY long time.
