I have two cards for you again today - the
One Stitch at a Time Challenge card and the monthly Dueling Darling card..... Oh! This is going to be fun!
"Button It"
Sponsor: Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Here's my card:
You know how sometimes you want to try something new/different, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't? Well, this was one of those times. I tried something different... and it did NOT work.
I used the Stitchy image called "Lake Winter" which is a gorgeous detailed image. I wanted to sponge a variety of colors of ink over the entire image to give it a muted look. I did that and truthfully, it does look somewhat better than the photo shows, but it wasn't the best thing to do with the image. I'm just sayin'!
Tip #1: Do NOT sponge ink all over the Lake Winter image. You probably won't get the kind of look you're hoping for.
Here's the inside of my card:

Now, for the interesting part of the Dueling Darling Challenge...
Tip #2: Darlene instructed us to share our "favorite gardening tip" in our blog posts. My FAVORITE gardening tip is this: let my husband do the gardening! (I do NOT like playing in dirt, or soil either.).
