It's Announcement Time!

I'm so excited to let you know that I have been chosen to serve on Patty's brand new design team for her brand new challenge blog. Woo Hoo!!!

I am especially excited about Patty's ABC Challenges because the ABC stands for All Beautiful Cards. That means that EVERY challenge will be for cards! Those of you who know me know that I love making cards... but seldom ever make an altered item, or ABAC (Anything But a Card). So this challenge blog is perfect for me!!!

And Patty is such a sweetheart! It's going to be so cool working with her!

The first challenge will be posted on Monday morning (October 22). I hope you'll check it out - and play along, too!

See you tomorrow!

Whoo's In the Tree?

Today is the 15th, so it's time for the Dueling Darlings to show their stuff. If you aren't familiar with the Dueling Darlings, we are a group of online friends who have fun creating cards, using kits provided by a hostess each month. The Dueling Darlings is two teams - the Divas and the Dazzlers. I am a Dazzler.

This month we're doing something a bit different than our normal thing, though. Since we now have an uneven number of Darlings, Melina was the lone hostess... so instead of sending kits, she's issued each group a challenge. As a Dazzler, my challenge is to create a card with the theme of trees and to include patterened paper somewherre on the card.

I thought and I thought... and at first was going to use my Stampin' UP! Lovely as a Tree stamp set. Then I decided to make my own tree. Tee Hee!!!

Here's my card:

I took a piece of brown card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder to create the "bark" to make up the tree on my card. It was such fun!

Here's the inside of my card:

I added a piece of the "bark" inside, too, but later thought maybe I shouldn't have done that. Oh well, the glue was permanent. LOL!

Now, who wants to see what the other Dueling Darlings created? I know I do.

Teddy Bear Hugs

It's time for a new Craft Us Crazy Challenge! Are you excited??? I know I am!

Challenge Theme: Children and/or Fall

October 11 - 24

The sponsor for this challenge is Stamp Fairy.

Thank you, Stamp Fairy, for giving the design team some cute cute cute images to use for this challenge! Thanks also, for the FABULOUS prize being given to one lucky participant!

Okay, ladies... you WANT to play along with the Craft Us Crazy Challenge... because that is a GREAT prize and you want it!!!

I used the Stamp Fairy Mimi with Teddy image to create my card.

Here it is:

Isn't she darling!?!?! I want to snuggle a Teddy Bear, too!

Of course I had to decorate the inside of my card, too.

I thought the Friends stamp that I used fit nicely with a girl and her teddy bear.

Now it's your turn... the theme is Children and/or Fall... how easy is that? I want to see your link on the Craft Us Crazy Challenge blog... and who knows! You just might win the Stamp Fairy prize!

Identifying the Unidentified Image

I'm part of a swap group (Unidentified Image Swap) that swaps cards every other month. Each round, one of the members serves as the hostess and she sends images to the others swappers, so we're all creating cards with the same image. We are not supposed to post our cards on our blogs and/or galleries until the due date... and today is the day! So, cruise around the blogs and you just might find several cards with this image on them.

Terry, was our hostess this round and she sent us the most adorable image - it's MFT Miss You a Latte a'la mode.

Isn't she fun!?!?!?

I added a sentiment on the inside... thought it seemed appropriate:

I am the hostess for the next round. The images have been inked and mailed to Terry. She'll stick them in the out-going swap this round. I can't wait to see what the ladies will do with my Unidentified image.
