I Need Some Toilet Paper
This is a dual purpose post with two cards. I had one more of the VSN Mini challenges to do - and it was a technique I'd never done before. Seriously, I'd never even heard of it before. So it's going to double as my Could Ya? Should Ya? Would Ya? Yea! series card.
In this monthly series, I strive to try something out of the norm... i.e. a size of card I rarely use, a technique I've wanted to try (or try again), an unusual fold, a card for a bizarre holiday, etc. I also plan to try a new recipe on these days - not a card recipe, a kitchen recipe.
Misti's Got TP? Challenge was perfect! Check out the details for using TP and embossing folders - HERE.
Confession time... I didn't use TP. Instead I used Kleenex (because it seemed to have a little more strength to it. Then, to be safe, I did another embossed piece with paper towels. I used both of them for cards.
The Kleenex Card:
The Paper Towel Card:
I lightly added some Distress Ink to the embossed piece to highlight the snowflakes.
I had fun with this new technique. I'm glad Misti challenged me/us to try it.

A Social Distancing Mask
I didn't like the "seam" where the two pieces were joined together so I camouflaged them with the pretty flower/leaf.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Peaceful Leaves
I am in a group on SCS that is all about using what we have. My friend Barb named the group Challenge Your Stash. Each month we have a theme (we take turns choosing the theme) and we post our cards on the 28th of the month.
This month Pansy gave us a theme of Leaves.
I paired an image from one Unity stamp set with a sentiment from another Unity stamp set for my card.
I hope Pansy and Barb - and the other CYS gals - like my card.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope your day is joyful!I've fallen in love with gnomes and have quite a collections of gnome stamps so I'm doing a series featuring gnomes this year. Each month I create a gnome card. The date I share/post these cards changes from month to month, but the theme doesn't.
There's No Series Like a Gnome Series
I used the Jaded Blossoms Thankful for My Gnome stamp set on this month's card.

Cattails
I've been a member of the Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society for quite a long time. I love flower stamps so it seemed like a perfect fit! Truthfully, I have used some of these stamps, but others I've been guilty of leaving un-inked. for. way. too. long. I've committed to using them this year in my Greenhouse Society series.
Since the sets arrive toward the end of the month, I actually use them the following month, so today's card is mad with the October 2020 Greenhouse Society stamp set - Cattails.

2020 Travel the World - Week 47
I started a Travel the World Series last year. (It should be noted that I did a similar thing in 2018, only it was the 50 states.) For 50 weeks in 2019, I visited a different country (virtually) and shared facts about that country. I then selected one tidbit of information about that week's country as inspiration for a card. Fifty weeks; fifty countries... BUT there are 195 countries in the world so that was just a little over 25% of them. Of course I couldn't stop, so this year I'm continuing with fifty more countries, one per week.
This week's country is...
There are more Cape Verdians living abroad than in the country.
