In March I debuted a quarterly adventure here on my blog. It was called...
Mission Impossible Possible
I told them they could expect to find another mysterious package in their mailboxes quarterly. This blog post is our second mission possible.
They each received a stamp this time - Whipper Snapper's Miles Can Never. (Truthfully, as soon as I saw thqt sentiment I thought of them. After all, geography separates the three of us but those miles really don't keep us apart.
Here are their instructions...
Good Day, Ms. Card-Maker. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, involves the use of a substance that will be revealed to you upon opening this package. Two team members have been selected to work with you, I am one of them and the other one will be revealed within a reasonable timespan. She is an equally talented card-maker who, like you, will be given the opportunity to accept or decline this mission. Should you choose to accept the mission, you have a month to complete it, in which case at some point within the next month you will create a card using the enclosed substance on it and post it somewhere in a public forum (blog, gallery, FB, Instagram, or such). The theme of the card can be any of your choosing; the only requirement is that the substance be used in some way. Should you or any of the other two team members get caught with the substance on your fingers or clothing, laughter is sure to ensue. And Ms. Card-Maker, those laughing will disavow any responsibility for their laughter.
This message will not self-destruct in five seconds, since I have no ability to do that and besides, you might need to refer to it again at some point.
Good day, Ms. Card-Maker… and Good Luck!
Here is the inside of my card:
A friend is someone who understands your past,
believes in your future,
and accepts you just the way you are.
The sentiment on the inside of my card really fits my relationship with these two dear friends. Thank you, Barb and Kelly - I treasure your friendship more than words can express!
Be sure to head over to Kelly's blog and Barb's blog to see their cards, too. They might be running a wee bit late so if you don't see their Mission Possible posts right away, check back on their blogs later... after all, you'll always be inspired by whatever is on their blogs because they are both so very VERY talented.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Aw, how very sweet! Your wording AND this striking card - I've always loved the contrast of b/w with a pop of color and this one is certainly a stand out in the crowd-er! Love the coffee talk friends - that must be you and Barb because I'd be the one holding a trenta Starbucks, LOL! Thank you for your kindness of sending us a stamp for this quarter's 'duel' - hugs … and cheers!
ReplyDeleteJeanette--I am so blessed to have you and Kelly as a special part of my life. I loved the sweet words in your post, and I think your card is so sweet. Yes, coffee is a part of our trio but having each others backs is tops! Love this sentiment and I will use it with pride every time I ink it up. Thanks for inviting me to be a part of your new challenge!
