I ♥ Paper Dolls

When I was a little girl, one of my favorite toys to play with was paper dolls. It didn't matter if it was the fancy set purchased at the local Five and Dime store or the outdated Sears catalog that my Grandma gave me. I could spend hours and hours cutting out and playing with my paper dolls.

Is it any wonder that today I still love to play with paper???

So, when I saw the MelonHeadz Mini Paper Doll set, I knew I wanted to play with it. And this week was the perfect opportunity!

Here is my card:




It's nearly impossible to tell from the picture, but the paper doll (girl) is one layer and her clothes are another layer. She's really quite fun!

    Adorable card, Jeanette! Your post on Facebook caught my eye and it was just the inspiration I need to create a girly card today for a young friend's birthday on Thursday. Loved reading your comments about playing with paper dolls 'cause I, too, loved playing with paper dolls. Do they even make them anymore? What a treat to go to the five and dime stores and find new paper dolls!! Love the MelonHeadz paper doll stamp collection!!

    CUTE!!!! Love how you paper pieced her little dress, it's darling! The polka dot DP is perfect, kind of whimsical, to match her fun expression. Great job!
