I ♥ Recycling!

Today I have two different cards for you; each one for a different challenge. How fun! There's an ANYTHING GOES card for ABC Challenges and a GREEN/RECYCLED card for the MelonHeadz Friends Challenge.

First, let me show you my ANYTHING GOES card...

Now... let me explain.

1. I do NOT like this card.

2. I made it for the ABC Challenges. Patty is the owner of ABC Challenges. She is AWESOME!!! I don't know of anyone who has mastered CAS cards better than Patty. So... I tried to do a CAS. UGH is more like it.

3. This was actually not my first attempt. I trashed what I tried first. Then I went to Pinterest and searched for ideas to CASE. It didn't feel right to CASE Patty on her own challenge blog, so Pinterest was my next best option. Besides, I have a monthly goal to CASE a card/project from Pinterest. I did it.

4. Here is my inspiration from Pinterest. (You'll notice it's actually found in the SCS gallery - but I found it on Pinterest.) I loved Susie Australia's card; mine - not so much!

Oh well. There's always next week's challenge to try to redeem myself. ;)

I chose to go with the color green, but also a recycled item...

That's a real RECYCLED library card, gifted to me by my friend Roxane! THANK YOU, ROXANE!

If you're keeping track, these two cards are #72 and #73 in the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge.

  3. Of course I think both cards are fantastic, Jeanette, but I really really love the layout of the first one. How you split up the patterned paper is genius and I think I will have to "borrow" that idea! Beautiful cards!
