Birthday Shellfie

It's Thursday - time to showcase The Project Bin, which is ALWAYS a joy because I love this company. The owner is a sweetheart and the stamps are just awesome!

Today I'm actually featuring two stamp sets. The turtle is from the Love Your Shellfie stamp set. I wanted a bigger birthday greeting to go with the darling little turtle so I used part of one of the stamps from the Birthday Girl stamp set. That particular stamp actually says Happy birthday pretty lady but I used a couple of post it notes to block out the pretty lady when stamping it.

I like how the turtle turned out with the layers of paper piecing.

For the inside of my card I added the turtle
(in his naked form)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Stamp Sets: The Project Bin Birthday Girl and Love Your Shellfie stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and minimally colored with Copic Markers

Papers: Recollections Black and 110# White and SU Real Red CS and DP from my scrap file

Embellishments: Your Next Stamp Gum Drops

Those colors are just perfect together - I would probably have not paired them and been sorry for not trying, they look great.

I do love me some gingham - it is like a simple plaid - and you know I love a plaid!

This is a super cute card!!!
