Anything Goes = Bible Journaling

It's time for a new challenge at PDE Linky Party - ABAC!

So, as you might know, I am fairly new to Bible Journaling.... and I really want to get better at this. So I keep trying. In fact, I've sort of committed to myself that I will try to use this for my ABAC challenges. That being said, I am HORRIBLE at Bible Journaling.

Case in point... here is today's page. Ugh!

Psalm 57:7

I am looking forward to seeing your ABAC at PDE Linky Party... because I know it will be fabulous!

Falliday Tutorials

As I mentioned yesterday, today's post is highlighting the last three cards I made for Falliday on SCS. These were actually Tutorial projects.

Tutorial #3 was a Twist Gate Fold Card...

I'd never heard of this fold before so decided to give it a try. It went together fairly easily and I kind of like the fold. However, it doesn't photograph well. There's no good way to get it to hold together and get its picture. Oh well.

Tutorial #8 required using then Copic Bleed Technique to make a card - well, two cards. I didn't have a coloring book that was appropriate, so I googled free coloring pages and found one that would work. The image on the right card is the actual coloring page. The one on the left is where the ink bled through to the piece of cardstock behind it.

Tutorial #9 was the Evergreen Tree Tutorial. Basically you "build" an evergreen tree. I used a Martha Stewart punch to do this.

That's it... Falliday is complete. YAY!

Mid Week Peek at My Week

It's Wednesday - and time for my Mid Week Peek at My Week.

I am so excited to say.............. I have completed the Falliday Requirements on SCS! Woo Hoo! I made 30 cards, per the challenges, completed 5 of the tutorials, and mailed cards to 4 different card drives. It feels so good to know I completed the challenge.

Counting Falliday, DT requirements, and other cards, I made a total of 22 cards this week.

I also did some cleaning/sorting/organizing this week. Doesn't the shelf area in one end of my large storage closet look nice?

Last Wednesday I showed the earlier Falliday cards; then on Sunday I showed you a few more.

Today I'm going to show you the rest of them... and tomorrow I will show you the cards I made for three of the tutorials. As with the other Falliday blog posts, I will only show you the card front (for sake of space) unless there's some reason to show the inside of the card.

Card #19
Rebecca - Fok Art Traditions

Card #20
Patty - Felted Paper
(The poinsettia background is a paper napkin - I added some Stickles to it)

Card #21
Yvette - Snow Much Glitter

Card #22
Kelli - Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Card #23
Joyce - Not Everything Is What It Seems
(We were to use a stamp set for something other than its original purpose -
this is a Christmas image used on a Halloween card)

Card #24
Edna - Like a Diamond in the Sky

Card #25
Kathy - Blue Christmas

Card #26
Patty - It's Apple Time

Card #27
Jean - Are You a Good Witch or a Bad Witch
(Apparently I'm both - good on the card front and bad inside)

Card #28
Dina - Iced Gingerbread

Card #29
Lori - Hard Candy Christmas

Card #30
Lydia - Melted Snow

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

Card-Making Frenzy Continues

On Wednesday (in my Mid Week Peek at My Week post - check it out HERE if you missed it) I revealed several cards that I made for the Falliday event that's going on at SCS. Today, I have a few more cards to show you. Hopefully I will be able to show you the rest of them (yet to be made) in the upcoming Wednesday's Mid Week Peek at My Week post.

Card #14
Lori - What's Your Texture
(I painted my background paper with Acrylic paint using a texture tool, but it didn't show up well, so I also added a piece of burlap to my card)

Card #15
Ky - Lights of the Season
(I attempted using Gelatos to create a Bokeh technique in the background behind the image. Obviously I need a lot more practice with this technique)

Card#16
Misti - Gift Card Holder

I thought this card would be nice to give to someone who is moving - in or out.

Card #17
Teresa - Pink Christmas Inspiration Board

Card #18
Kathy - For the Love of Pets

I just love this dog!

Barrows of Fun

The Creative Card Chicks - a group on SCS - was hosted this month by Terry S. She sent us a wonderful packet of goodies for our card-making challenge. THANK YOU, Terry!

Truthfully, it was a LOT of embellishments, papers, images... a person could have made multiple cards. But time was not my friend, so I only made one card.

I love the Charles Dickens quote, so added it to the inside of my card:
