I ♥ My Blog Groups

This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for the Craft Us Crazy Challenge post that I put up earlier today, you can either scroll down to the post after this one or you can click here to be taken directly there.

This post is a special post because it features two blog groups that I am privileged to be a part of - the Crafters of Faith and the Calendar Girls blog groups.

Crafters of Faith have a challenge on the last day of each month and the Calendar Girls have a challenge on the 28th of each month. Surprise! Today is the last day of February which just happens to be the 28th. EEK!!! Instead of making two cards, I made one card that fits both challenges. Oh, and if that's not enough to make this exciting, this card also fits the Craft Us Crazy  Anything Goes Challenge (you know you want to participate in that, since Saturated Canaray is the sponsor and is offering a wonderful prize to one lucky participant).

I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the hostesses of both of these challenges!

Tami and Kelly, THANK YOU!!!

Tami is the hostess for the Crafters of Faith Challenge. Here are her instructions:

I have a crafting tool that I just had to have and have hardly used. Does that sound remotely familiar?! I think you all may have the same tool in your arsenal. I would like you to drag out your scoring tool. Scor-Pal mini, biggie, Martha mini, biggie or if you do not have one of those, I am sure that you may have a scoring blade on your paper cutter. SCORE!!! It would be fun to see how you all incorporate scoring onto your card. You know I am into 'use what'cha got', so if you do not have a scoring tool of any sort, please create without this element. Oh and I do not mean just a score to fold your cardbase in half! LOL

While it is a 'lovely' month February, let's create a card that is not Valentine's themed. That being said, it is the second part of this challenge. Let's not use Valentine theme, red, pink or white colors anywhere on our cards. That includes the paper you stamp your image on....*gasp*!

For our third element, how about we place both an image and a sentiment on the front of the card.

Well, that ought to keep us busy {now what am I going to do?! LOL} I am looking forward to seeing your projects. I get the best ideas from you girls.

Kelly is the hostess for the Calendar Girls Challenge. Here are her instructions:

*~* Share the LOVE! *~*
It’s February, the month of LOVE ♥ I’m thrilled to be your hostess this month and offer you a challenge of a different sort Rather than go for the traditional Valentine’s card, I wanted to ask that you each make a card – as a reflection of yourself – and share a little LOVE!

This month, please create a card (or project) that shows what YOU love … something that when we look upon your card, we will know exactly what that ONE thing is that you love so much!

(For example, maybe sporty LJ will have something on with the Badgers on her card (just sayin’!) or Darlene may have gorgeous feathered friends gracing the front of hers … you get the idea! )

*You may use any colors you would like but extra brownie points for using non - traditional colors!!

* Please include one thing only – I know it’s hard {However, if it's fruit, for example, you may include a basket of it rather than just one fruit}

YOUR BONUS CHALLENGE: As a extra bonus, but completely optional part of the challenge, I would LOVE for you to send your card to a place/organization that you LOVE. ♥ Share the LOVE ♥ this month by sending your card to someone in need – OWH, children’s charities, RMH .. the possibilities are endless. Know that somewhere out there, your generous mailing of your card could bring a smile to someone in need.

Here's my card:

What do I love? I love to travel!!! I'm always ready for a trip, whether it be to Mississippi to visit my daughter, Wisconsin to visit my son, Missouri to visit my parents and sister, Virginia to visit my in-laws, Thailand on a mission trip, or anywhere else. I LOVE TO TRAVEL!

Isn't that the cutest image? I told my friend Jeri that I wish I had hair like that!

Speaking of my friend Jeri (the owner of Craft Us Crazy Challenge), I made this card for the Craft Us Crazy Challenge.

I Love You This Much

Since the time my three children were very young, I've had a special saying/game that I've used with them. I'll stretch my arms out just as wide as I can get them and tell them "I love you this much and more." It's true! My love for them is immeasurable!

So, when I saw the adorable Meljen's Designs image that I used for today's card, I knew I wanted to use it for my {PIN}Spirational Challenges card.

Isn't that image just too sweet?!?!?!

Warm Winter Wishes

I needed to make a fast card today - since I was VERY busy and didn't want to lag behind in the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge.

I've also set a personal goal to have a blog post each of the first 100 days of 2013. Soooooooooooo I made a VERY FAST and way too simple card. Sometimes a girl just has to do what a girl has to do. *wink

This card seemed pretty appropriate right now, since the weather has been pretty nasty the past day or two. It's improved a lot here where I live today, but I know a lot of our nation is still getting a lot of the white stuff. If you have to be out in the snow, do be careful!

Here's the inside of my card:

A Song In Your Heart

We've just finished up the most recent Forest Swap -

Music In the Forest ♪♪♪

As the hostess, I don't create, but instead spend time hanging out with the Forest Friends and having fun in the swap thread.

Oh, and then there's the joy of seeing what everyone makes!

You may not know this about me, but I am perhaps the least musical person you've ever met. LOL! I don't play any instruments and I can't carry a tune so only sing when I am alone. About the best I can do is turn on the radio - and even then I have a difficult time finding a station.

But the Music in the Forest Swap got my toe to tapping and soon I was humming along with the others. So, I decided to make a musical card, just for fun!

Here it is:

I'm not very fond of this card, but hey! What can you expect from someone as un-musical as I am???

Here's the inside of my card:

This is my 61st card in the 100 Cards in 100 Days Challenge.
